Il bianco che avvolge l’undicesimo numero di Ossigeno – Elements of Life anticipa al lettore un significativo sviluppo della pubblicazione, e nel corso della collezione diventerà elemento per indicare l’unicità del contenuto: in questo caso, l’acqua. Con esempi pratici e attraverso incontri artistici e di pensiero, nei precedenti numeri di Ossigeno le vie di crescita ambientale e sociale erano presentate con argomenti diversi e un filo conduttore che, progressivamente, prendeva forma durante la realizzazione di ogni numero. Da questo bianco e dal numero 11 di Ossigeno, testi, immagini e illustrazioni proseguono con la medesima spinta e funzione, ma su approfondimenti monografici. Da qui e per le prossime pubblicazioni, un unico soggetto sarà così affrontato, con le chiavi di lettura di sempre e lo stesso obiettivo di contribuire alla diffusione di informazioni e spunti per un aggiornato ragionamento sul rapporto tra l’essere umano e il suo ambiente di vita. �uesto è l’obiettivo editoriale di Ossigeno: condividere esperienze e informazioni sui temi chiave di ambiente e società. �uesto numero di Ossigeno è dedicato all’acqua. Acqua nella sua relazione con l’essere umano, dal punto di vista del suolo e attraverso altre necessarie considerazioni e prospettive. �uesto è il terzo numero a ospitare una rubrica che, pur senza un titolo formale, si può definire Agricoltore custode del pianeta. È voluta per portare giusta attenzione e conoscenza su quell’agricoltura capace di far crescere un frutto raro: suolo fertile. Per Ossigeno e per questa rubrica, Vandana Shiva, fondatrice di Navdanya International, racconta la pratica e la necessità di un’agricoltura votata alla qualità del suolo, di un frutto che sia nutriente e di una coltivazione equa nella distribuzione del valore della produzione. Parliamo di acqua attraverso l’esperienza di DeserTech, comunità di innovazione della Ben-Gurion University del Negev, la cui attività è raccontata da Patricia Golan nello scopo e nei risultati del riunire tutti i progetti che, a livello mondiale, hanno sostituito o portato l’acqua dove non è possibile trovarla. L’acqua è il flusso su cui prosegue la rubrica disegnata dalla china di Nicola Mari e su cui insiste quell’immancabile, perché indispensabile, richiamo all’arte come veicolo per idee e considerazioni: in questo numero, Gian Maria Tosatti è la guida in un parallelismo di diritti e forza proprio tra acqua e arte. The white treasuring the eleventh issue of Ossigeno – Elements of Life discloses to the reader a significant development of the publication, and over the course of the book series it will become an element able to indicate the uniqueness of the content: in this case, water. With practical examples and through artistic and thought encounters, in the previous issues of Ossigeno the ways of environmental and social growth have been presented with different topics and a common thread that, progressively, took shape during the making of each issue. Starting with this shade of white and with Ossigeno’s number 11, texts, images and illustrations move forward with the same drive and function, but concerning monographic insights. From here and for our future publications, a single subject will thus be analyzed, with the usual interpretation keys and the same objective of contributing to the disclosure of information and ideas for an updated reasoning on the relationship between human being and its living environment. Here is Ossigeno's editorial goal: to share experiences and information on key environmental and social issues. This issue of Ossigeno is dedicated to water. Water in its relationship with human being, from the point of view of the soil and through other necessary considerations and perspectives. This is the third issue hosting a column which, although without a formal title, can be defined as Grower as the keeper of the planet. It is intended to bring proper attention and knowledge to a kind of agriculture capable of growing a rare fruit: fertile soil. For Ossigeno and for this column, Vandana Shiva, founder of Navdanya International, writes about the practice and the need for an agriculture devoted to soil quality, to nutritious fruits and to an equitable cultivation in respect of the distribution of production value. We talk about water through the experience of DeserTech, the innovation community of the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, whose activity is told by Patricia Golan in the aim and results of bringing together all the projects that, worldwide, have replaced or brought water where it cannot be found.
